Since it was Robyn’s school break, I’ve been spending more of my days at home; also trying to enjoy the rest times since once school starts, I know it’s going to be hectic once more. With this, I haven’t really been wearing a lot of makeup, much less a full face glam makeup.
I went to a wedding reception one time and thought that it was the best time to pull out my kit and play with some of my favorite makeup once more. I’ll be focusing on my eye makeup in this post and reviewing some of the products that I used for this look.
First is the eyeshadow palette. I’ve had this Pixi x ItsJudyTime palette for awhile now. I got it when Judy came to the Philippines to launch the palette.
I attended the Meet and Greet which I actually vlogged here. It was such a fun experience seeing her and her family and also getting my hands on the eyeshadow palette that she created with Pixi.
The palette is composed of 12 beautiful wearable neutral shades and if you’re an It’s Judy’s Life subscriber, you’d probably be familiar with the shade names that Judy has chosen.
I personally really like this palette because all of the shades are so flattering. Given that I’m now in my 30s (so is Judy), I found myself shying away from too much color and I find the beauty in simple natural shades for my look. It’s just more age appropriate I guess.
Pixi eyeshadow palettes have always been a great choice because they’re soft, buttery, glides on smoothly and stays put too even without eye primer.
I have also been loving my Cover Perfection Tip Concealer from Saem which I got from Althea Korea. The shade that I use is 1.5 and it’s the perfect shade to cover my undereyes.
The concealer also has SPF 28 PA++ which is also intriguing.
I think what surprised me is the performance of this concealer. It’s not an expensive product but it delivers really well and provides much needed coverage.
I would say it gives medium coverage, perfect not just for everyday but even for special occasions. It’s not cakey at all and doesn’t budge.
Another product that I have been using and was really satisfied with its performance is the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow.
I actually can’t recall when I bought this from Althea but I remember that this was really inexpensive so I grabbed it right away. It has the product on one end and a spoolie on the other.
It really helps if your eyebrow product doesn’t need any sharpening anymore. I also like that it’s already angled, has that sword cut style that makes drawing the lines easy.
I got the Dark Brown shade that works for my dark hair.
I like this product because it’s one of those no-fuss products. It delivers, gets the job done easy peasy. It works very well too.
It doesn’t get removed easily. Imagine how humid it is here in the Philippines, yet it can still withstand the weather. And it looks very natural.
