One of the things I’m always on the look out is a good makeup remover/cleanser. Since I wear makeup almost everyday (whether it be light or full face makeup), it’s very important that I find a makeup remover that works for both. My mom has always emphasized the importance of removing your makeup before you sleep. Perhaps that’s her secret to her youthful appearance.

I mentioned previously that Althea sent their newest products to us and one of the products sent is the new Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser which helps extract dirt from inside the pores and to maintain a healthy pH balance of the skin. The product is multi-purpose as it serves as both makeup remover and facial cleanser.

This beauty superhero whisks away makeup, dirt, and oil with mint extracts while ensuring the skin stays cool and hydrated throughout thanks to a dual moisture cell system that envelopes the skin in a serum-like formula. The consistency is thicker than your usual cleansing oil, but at the same time, it’s not heavy on the skin too. It somehow reminds me of my coconut water serum that I’m currently using during night time. But once applied, it’s not at all greasy.

I actually didn’t expect a lot from this, but I was so surprised that it works so well! I simply apply it on my face, especially my eyes as I use a lot of waterproof makeup, and gently rub it in. Then voila, makeup melts right away.

I’ve pretty much used this ever since getting it because it’s less time consuming as it melts the makeup faster than the other ones that I have. And you all know how busy I am and how little time I have to do my routine.

Because of the Jojoba oil, it actually gives nutrients to the skin and leaves the skin feeling moisturized. It doesn’t leave the face feeling dry and old. Haha! It actually gives a smooth finish after wiping it down. I still prefer to wash my face afterwards though, but that’s just my preference.

I’m quite impressed that it really removes even my most stubborn waterproof mascaras and my full coverage foundations. It’s really worth trying!
