First of all, apologies for the delay in my posts. I'm currently dealing with something personal so I haven't really had time to sit down and blog. As much as I want to (I really do), I just have to set my priorities straight and fix what needs fixing first.
With that said, I'm sharing the 3rd day of our Superstar Virgo Cruise. This was an awesome chill day and looking at the photos and watching the videos take me right back to our family holiday.
The third day was in Taiwan. We got to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and it was my first time in Taiwan. I actually really wanted to check out their night markets, however we were there during the day so we couldn't go to the famous night markets anymore.
As I've said previously, we didn't join any of the tours and went our own ways. This entailed a lot of research. I spent hours and hours, day by day researching on places to visit that's pretty close to the pier.
First stop was Pier 2 Art Center. This was right across Penglai Road which is where the boat is docked. We didn't spend a lot of time here because we were looking forward to the next place and I was personally quite nervous that we'd get lost. We didn't have internet and I just relied on the map.
We then went to Dream Mall, which is the largest mall in Taiwan. This was basically our agenda for the day. Since we only had the day time, we figured we'll just spend the day here.
It was quite cool when we went to Taiwan. It was such a sweet change from the hot weather in the Philippines. We were really looking forward to a change in weather and a cooler climate.
Robyn immediately saw these and wanted to play!
One of the reasons why I chose Dream Mall is because of Happy 100 which is kinda like an arcade at the top of the mall.
It's very famous for their huge ferris wheel. However, we opted not to ride it. I just wanted to give Robyn some time to play. I really wanted her to have fun on this trip and see different places.
Her favorite game was the fishing game. Luckily, hubby knows a little bit of Mandarin so he was our interpreter. Haha!
It was also the first time I let Robyn drive by herself. ;p
After that we had lunch at the food court. I wasn't able to take photos anymore because Robyn also fell asleep and I had to carry her.
On the way back to the ship, we stopped by Fermosa Boulevard Station because I wanted to see the Dome of Light.
They said that it's the largest glass work in the world and there are light shows too. However, we didn't get to catch any of the shows anymore.
The train stations is Taiwan were so clean. It reminded me of trains in Tokyo, sans the confusing transportation scheme. Haha!
When we got back, we had just enough time to go check out Banana Pier which was right beside where the ship was docked.
It was around 5:30 when we got back so we had a few minutes to spare before dinner.
That evening, we chose Western cuisine. Here's what we had:
The night's show was Acrobatics which I was so excited about. I love watching Cirque's and haven't brought Robyn to watch yet. So I wanted to see how she'd react to it.
I liked that they combined acrobatics and dance! It felt like we were in Vegas!
Really, I feel like the cost of the cruise is so worth it because of these shows!
