Here's one of the events I attended recently. I went to the launch of Heroine Make Cosmetics. It was really exciting because I have been into Japanese products lately. So I was very much eager to hear more about the brand and learn more about their products.
Heroine Make is a Japanese-manufactured makeup line with ten years of history that turns women into princesses since 2005. It launched a revolutionary range of eye makeup in Japan since then. The brand has become a familiar sight to shoppers in Hong Kong and Singapore, where the lush romantic packaging fills the shelves in Sasa, Bonjour, and drugstores in these countries. Now, Heroine Make turns wide manga eyes towards the Philippines by bringing top of the line products to the shores of Manila.
I learned that the best sellers and original products of the brand are as follows:
- Long & Curl Mascara (P595): an award-winning waterproof formula that makes lashes unbelievably full, long and thick, while retaining the curl all day. Named the #1 Mascara in Japan by Cosme in 2009.
- Smooth Liquid Eyeliner (P595): long-wearing, smudge proof eyeliner with a fine tip to create whatever luscious eye look you desire.
- Quick Eyebrow Pencil (P345): resistant to oil, sweat, and rubbing, and the perfect tool to shade in your most expressive eyebrows!
Aside from these three, Heroine Make also offers dolly-inspired false eyelashes, BB creams, and powder compacts for perfect princess-like skin.
Through the demo by Sayuri Igarashi, who is the lead makeup artist for promotions and events of the brand, I learned that the eye products were inspired by the big, beautiful eyes of the classic shoujo (Japanese women’s comic) heroine. So you can definitely expect the wide eyed effect, romantic looking eye makeup!
Here, mascara is to be applied to the model. I was able to get the Impact Frame Mascara and have tried it once. Just a quick initial review, love at first try! :) More on that next time as I am still roadtesting it. :)
Here is the finished natural look:
This is the party look:
Heroine Make is brought to the Philippines by Mandom Philippines Corporation and they are distributed and sold in Watsons.
How cute are these:
Of course I had to take photos of the packaging. Japanese products always always have kawaii packaging!
Girls just swoon over the products!
I was surprised to find out that the products are quire affordable! So I really am looking forward to trying more of their products.
