New Kitchen Appliance!

A couple of my friends know I've been researching and wanting to buy an oven for almost a year now. That's how I normally am. I usually research and research about a product before purchasing, especially products that aren't exactly cheap.

Upon researching, I have decided to get Imarflex Convection oven. There are 2 kinds, the basic convection oven and the 3 in 1 convection and rotisserie oven. I was already fine with getting the basic convection oven. However I wanted to get the biggest size possible, since it will be more efficient. Imagine having to bake several batches because the oven can only accomodate 1 tray vs having multiple trays in 1 go. You save electricity!

So anyways, upon checking the biggest Imarflex oven is 30liters and it's the 3in1 oven. So I got that. The price was pretty steep. We got it for P5,000 in True Value. Luckily they accept deferred payments.

What's the difference from an ordinary oven? Let me put it in very simple terms (non-baker terms). Our regular oven's heat source is stationary coming from the bottom rods. In convection ovens, there are fans inside the oven that help circulate the air thus the temperature is more consistent. You know when you put 2 trays and only the bottom tray is cooked, and the other one isn't? It's because the temperature at the bottom is hotter. So this is the problem the convection oven is trying to resolve.

I haven't used it just yet. I plan to bake meals actually. That's the main reason why I wanted to buy an oven. Secondary will be to bake my cookies and brownies. Hehe! And since I got a 3 in 1 type, I can also roast chicken! Yey! I'm so excited to use it! I just have to buy a couple other tools before using it.
