The Kebab Factory with the Girls

It’s so rainy!!!! Yes that is my greeting for you. Haha just kidding. But seriously, it’s raining like it hasn’t rain for so long, that’s how bad the weather is. I was supposed to go to work today but H told me not to anymore because some parts of Metro Manila is already flooded. I hope no one gets seriously hurt. Ondoy is still so fresh in my memory.
Anyways, since I just stayed home and I can’t really do much filming today because of the bad natural lighting. I decided to go and edit videos (I usually upload videos in the office because the internet’s better there.) and blog. Today’s topic is my Sunday lunch with my girls when they got back from their trip to Singapore.
We decided to meet up for lunch and eat at The Kebab Factory in SM Megamall Atrium. It’s a good choice since I haven’t actually tried eating there yet but I’ve always been intrigued because I love Persian and Indian cuisine or any Asian fusion.
These were our orders:

P90.00

I liked their Iced Tea. They put something like a sweet plum in it for a different sweet-sour taste. I think I drank about 5 glasses or so. 🙂

IMG_0198 Roti with Curry Dip
P130.00
Very famous puffed bread served with curry sauce

Again, ya’ll know that H and I both looooveee rotis. So when I saw that they have Roti in their menu, I made sure to order one. Their roti was a little bit on the crispy side and I think cooked well done. So when I went back to the Kebab Factory again this time with my husband, I asked them to make it chewy and not flakey. They were able to cook it with my instructions, and it’s fantastic!!!! Soft, warm and chewy. Really really good!

IMG_0202Saffron Rice
P150.00
Long grain rice cooked with butter and the delicious aroma of saffron.

For me, this is kind of a disappointment. It tasted normal, a little buttery. For the price, I think it’s not worth it. The three of us shared the rice because we still had the roti bread to share, but the serving of the Saffron Rice can probably be shared by two people.

IMG_0199 Chicken Kofta Kebab
P200.00
Mouth watering minced chicken marinated with bell pepper and cooked in a tandoor oven.

These are also known as Chicken Kebabs. They’re a little bit hard to chew and swallow and I don’t like that it’s too thick and dry. My friend Roma also said that she has already tried the beef version and it’s not as dry as the chicken we ordered.

P370.00
Boneless chicken marinated in yogurt and spice, cooked over butter and cream.
I love this dish!!! The sauce is extremely delicious. I also dip my roti bread and put it in my rice. It’s so good. I can’t even explain how it tastes. It’s a little sour and a little salty. The meat cooked just right, not too hard not too soft either. It’s perfect.

The ambiance was pretty cozy and homey. I love the pretty lighting and the comfortable couch. My friends and I stayed for a long time in the restaurant even after eating because it was very quiet, there was wifi (from SM Megamall) and it was such a nice hang out place where you can talk and catch up.

They also gave me a necklace as pasalubong from the trip. So thanks girls!!! 🙂

Went back to The Kebab Factory a week after with my husband. 🙂 I really liked the restaurant and I surely will go back again and order my favorite dishes. 🙂
