Hey guys! I've got another makeup review for you. I'm on a roll with reviews, am I not? Haha! There's just so many new products that I have lined up and most of them really impress me. Obviously, I would want to share those products with you. Just take note that not all products that work on me would always work on you. Same goes with products that don't work on me, it doesn't necessarily mean that they won't work on you either. So you might want to test out the products also. :)
Today I wanted to focus on my new duo, ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder. I got this a couple of months back and have been using it often. I don't own any other ELF products and when I researched, their Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder always pops out as one of their famous products. So what's a brand newbie to do, but to try this product right?
The packaging is very quaint and I find that it's actually professional looking. With a matte black exterior, it looks like something you would include in your makeup stash for clients. I love that it has a huge mirror too! It's so useful, unlike other itsy bitsy mirrors. This, you can actually see your entire face!
From what I've gathered, they only have 1 shade of this product. And I don't if they have plans of creating more shades or if they already have in the U.S. But I do like the shades included. I feel like it would look good for any skin color.
Here is a close up photo of the blush and bronzer in action:
I really like the bronzer. I was surprised too, given that I prefer matte bronzers to use as contour, but somehow this still works. It's got a little shimmer but it's not too obvious when it's applied on the face. Little tip though, use it sparingly. It's very pigmented. I have to tap off my brush before applying and I need to blend it very well on the skin so it won't look muddy.
As for the blush, I like the shade as I feel like it's a universal shade. It would look really nice on any skin color, fair to morena. It's very flattering for everyday use. It gives a nice flush of color with it's peachy pink glowy shade. It's a little bit powdery for my taste. I always find my palette messy because of all the residue from the blush. It's not as pigmented as the bronzer either so I usually pack on the color. But overall, it's still nice. I just hope the blush has the same formulation as the bronzer. And just remember I warned you that it would get messy. Haha!
The best thing about this product? It's affordable! Less than P250.00 and it's available at any ELF counter (department stores). So it's so easy to get a hold of the product, not unless it's sold out coz I know it sells like pancakes!
